Ryecroft Delight:
Miniature Ball. Raised and sent by Mr. P Godsmark.

I’m speechless, and that’s a wonder for me, you ask Jack Gott. Alright this flower’s a bit lumpy on one side, and possibly not a ball, with the few points to the petals, but the form is wonderful, and the colour deep lemon with an faint orange flush to the petal, and it seems to be sitting correctly. They’re not judging them with the classification that the raiser’s given them are they? And marking them down because of it, surely they should be judging them with classification that they fall into, according to the National Dahlia Society. After all they are seedlings, no it can’t be that.

Look at this beauty, I’d say a ball, just. Bit to go, but a lovely flower, sitting pretty with a stout stem.

An arranger’s delight, I expect a multitude of flowers to cut every week, exceptionally long collar petals. Striking colour combination.

Didn’t have the heart to separate this three, fearing a single bloom of this shot would not have given us a good picture. Reds are so difficult to photograph, they always buzz with colour. Can you fault these?
