WYN'S CONQUISTADOR

Conquistador held by the breeders brother-in-law.

And the big boy grown at Little Wisley.

The two blooms thousands of miles apart, one somewhere in the Big Apple, and the other nestling on the South coast of the United Kingdome. From the photo's you can see my bloom is hardly finished, but I knew if I left it any later the week-end weather would have spoilt this big fella. Ideally these Giants should be protected by a light frame which is covered which a heavy weight translucent polythene, the type they use as a barrier between damp soil, and freshly laid concrete in a conservatory, or the like. Although I can't grow many of them I just have to give them another go. The colour was as taken, and although it was grown four up with no extra feed it managed to make twelve inches across. Did I tell you my Wyn's Sensations have definitely made seed. I pray the next few days will be sunny as know end of milking of seed pods compensates for good old British sunshine.
