Now here's where we go down one size to the Large Cactus, and semi-cactus a much neglected class. Believe me these aren't the throw outs of the Giant Semi-cactus groups, but a separate identity of there own, and a much loved group. Okay the purists would say the Keene's won't produce good tubers, so why not pot tuber them, surely even I have enough time to preserve a variety as wonderful as these photographs suggest. Now I've told you the tale of  how I produced a third generation medium decorative by first crossing a miniature ball with a giant decorative haven't I? Well what's stopping anyone introducing a giant in this mix to spice up the large semi-cactus group? Just as long as it's refined enough to keep everything in proportion. Now on to the most popular group of all, everyone grows them, and there are countless varieties to choose from.
