A Typical Jewish Wedding

Now to say this was a typical Jewish wedding is slightly misleading, the main reason is the bridegrooms dad is as Irish as Killarney, and I've smelt the bacon cooking on a Sunday morning, but I kid you not, a better neighbour I couldn't wish to have. The number of times this guy comes to my front door and asks "Are you okay?" couldn't be counted, and  when I answer "Were not dead yet son" the look on his face is as sincere as any Irish Nun. The best of it is although he's as Irish as they come, he has that lovely warm cocky way of a true Londoner.  I'll never forget when I first moved in, and I'd left instructions with the men that were doing the renovating to ask my neighbour Len and Sue if it was alright to attach the screen gate frame to their side wall. Typically they didn't,  and although it took a while for Len to approach me, eventually Len said it wasn't on. Okay you've got a fair description of the set up, now the wedding photo's, and I'm hoping perhaps to get one or two shots taken on the Honeymoon later, so keep your fingers crossed. Okay the first shot is the Bride and groom under the canopy.

The Bride and Groom.

What d`you say? Tradition, I should say so.

Now the one in the middle is Sue, and below her is her dear mum. Oh. and to the left is her sister, but who's the vivacious one to the left? Beats me, but she reminds me of the ladies hair dresser in East Enders, stop it your seventy six.

Now the groom's father is in the middle flanked by the groom, and his brother I shouldn't wonder.

Mind you I'm only surmising it could be the Best man, and no relation at all. Len said it was some do, they had a violinist an organist, and a band for later. Wine flowed like there was no tomorrow, and the food was out of this world. Now for my favorite shot of Len, and if he don't look a Spur's supporter I'll eat my programme.

That's the guy on the right.

A better neighbour you couldn't wish for, and the older I get the better I feel with ol' Len next door. He's done a bit of boxing in his younger day you see. I love the lovely glazed look in his eyes, you can see he's been at the sherbet's. Oh well let's hope we get a few more shots taken on Honeymoon.
