Johnny D. is a Collerette dahlia the kind that bees and butterflies adore. The more you pick the abundant flowers the faster they're restored. |

| We lost our Dad unexpectedly on August 15th 2007 - he had leukaemia - but nobody knew. | ||||
He was only 77 and was in hospital for 5 days, and he died with my mum, my sister and myself at his bedside. His garden was a key part of his life and his dahlias were the talking point for anyone passing by their home in Brighton. He will always be remembered for his dahlias and for being the most patient man we have ever known.

September 4th 2008:
Over a year has past and I was sent the following email.
Wow - 1 year after our dad died and
Johnny D's are blooming!!
My friend sent this one.
Carol.
So far the family have been sent four photo's which I will add to their dads pages, but before you take a look I have only just realised the few words I placed under the photo of the seedling that is now called Johnny D is in fact a little poem.
