Don't get me wrong, I'd serve my country at the drop of a hat, but I detest war and all it stands for. I've witnessed a few in my seventy seven years, and eventually the two or more sides have to sit down and talk. If their is a God, and I pray there is, when if ever will it intervene? Because the God every splinter group of religion talks about is the same, isn't it? Unfortunately although our intelligent has developed further than any other species, our way of settling differences has remained the same as it ever was. This all conquering approach breeds hatred, and continues through each and every generation. I've got a problem with an all powerful, all loving God who allows the innocent to suffer.

DEATH IS FOR HEROES

Death is for heroes, not disciplined,  fearless lads, attended by ladies of the lamp too young to ever know what they've been through.

Less so these helpless, nameless souls, struggling for a life they'll never live, without the time to shiver.

Nor young innocent victims, wasted by mindless cowards they never see, in a myriad of hot good byes when one would do.

No death is for heroes, tall well built and handsome men, who die without a blemish, perfecting war on celluloid.

That would be ideal.
