Charlie Dimmock: Silver Certificate of Exhibition Merit: Raised and sent by yours truly.
October 26th 2005: This is embarrassing, I had know idea she would do so well, it is probably because she loves the coolness of Autumn, and every man loves Charlie Dimmock. Thanks a bundle my friends it's like Xmas early.
October 16th 2005: Alright I know, but it's my web site, so I get to choose what I put on the page. Tickled pink to have her up there. She won't get anything, but I tell you this, my varieties are getting better, and I know the people who look after the trials are looking after Charlie. If you want a variety that flowers continually from early till late she's your girl. The later the blooms the better she gets, perfect cut flower dahlia, cut young she holds for a week, recon there is every chance she'd do well in Iceland.

You surely didn't think I'd leave this in the draw did you, not on your Nellie, who ever she is. So thrilled to have one of these, God knows who knows me in Heaven, but some one's helping me here. If you can grow enough of Charlie Dimmock, and catch her just right, she is unbeatable, and I'm not joking now I really mean it, honest.

| Cryfield Harmony. | Crystal Beauty, |
Cryfield Harmony: Bronze Certificate of Exhibition Merit. Miniature Ball. Raised by Mr. F Wilson of Warwick and sent by Taylor's Dahlias.
October 26th 2005: I passed my judging test, and that was with just a photograph, I'm practically certain I haven't heard of this gentleman before, it's a beautiful thing.
October 16th 2005: Can't see any points, good round form, centre looks near perfect so I'll look out for Cryfield Harmony, it's got a nice name, as has the next variety. But the form on Crystal Beauty is a bit dishevelled, very unusual colour, with that very pale lavender bar through the middle of the petal. Watch out later in this report for another variety that could have come out of the same pod.

| Don Hill. | Hillcrest Liam. |
Hillcrest Liam: Bronze Certificate of Exhibition Merit.
October 26th 2005: I really had this down as possible main contender, I thought it was a medium, but of cause photographs wouldn't show that. Tell you what, all these bronze medal winners will be seen in winning exhibits.
October 16th 2005: Next two, full marks, seen Don Hill's name sake before, bless him, very neat flowers, perfect Collerette. Hillcrest Liam I really like, the bloom on show of course is at it's best, I suspect it is a medium decorative, and would love to see three well grown blooms taking a prize, beautiful colour.

| Hillcrest Matt. | Hillcrest Millennium. |
October 16th 2005: Once again I like, I've been watching this man's stuff, and any chance I get, I snaffle one up, most are wonderful varieties to breed with. Matt isn't finished yet, but I bet a cutting to a brace of pot tubers you'll see this on the show bench. Nice brushing of orange red to the ends of the petals. Now I know some have said Millennium won't make it, bet you it does in the States, looking at this it holds it's colour well.
