| Mish Mash. | Pablo. |
Fimbrated dahlias, I never liked them until I saw this one, and Kenora Spirit. This is the best photograph I have seen of Mish Mash, so good I'm gonna put it on Yahoo Groups to share with it's members, That's with Geoff's okay of course. Little Pablo I grew a few years back, one of the Gallery type, bred by my friend Aad Verwer, or one of his brothers. They are not a dahlia Group name, as everyone seems to think, but a trade name thought up by the Verwer's. They all have names after great artists, I'm still waiting for names to come up like, George Best, Oliver Reed, and my mothers dad, who of course was my granddad, Watts Holland Austin, bless there hearts. Why bless their hearts, because I genuinely think they needed it once for some reason or other, but unlike many of us, they become completely addicted to the stuff.

| Paul Magson. | Rockcliffe Sarah. |
It's funny how you get a spate of blooms all looking very much the same, or should I say of similar categories. These two could be from the same raiser, but we know they're not because of the prefix of the second one. From the photographs I think Rockcliffe Sarah has the edge, but I have heard a good account of Paul Magson. Cos one is white and one cream, so I'll have six of each, if only I had the room and energy. I'm tempted to say the variety I have on trial with Halls will see them both off, but having heard nothing yet, I better keep my big trap shut. In any case it would have only been in fun.

| Rockcliffe Margaret. |
Rossendale Lottie. |
I hadn't finished the write up from here on, so can't really loose, because what ever I say is after the decisions were made.
Rockciffe Margaret: Bronze Certificate of Exhibition Merit. Raised and sent by Mr. T. H. Thompson. Wales.
Now you're not going to believe me but I had this down in the first three, in my head, the colour, and the form are perfect. Okay the main bloom in the picture could have done with a trifle more centre but apart from that what a beautiful flower. Talking about my bankers, I was certain Lottie was going to be in the running, well I like all of this blokes stuff, we know it by the prefix Rossendale, and believe me it came out of a good stable. Time will tell, it's only a game.

| Rossendale Natasha. | Ruskin Lisa. |
Rossendale Natasha I have growing in my garden, I really like it, and can't believe it didn't get a look in, perhaps it wasn't it's year up North, The bloom Geoff captured says it all. Ruskin Lisa is a lovely colour, typically of a semi-cactus, there are a number of this colour about these days, this has a larger petal than Myra, good enough, like all Stan Pennington's stuff to win prizes.

| Ryecroft Claire. | Ryecroft Crystal. |
Didn't have a finished bloom of Ryecroft Claire, well when I say that, I did have another from Geoff's album, but it didn't do the variety justice, because it was well out, and a bit lumpy, it is a good flower, but know where near the quality of Phil's next one. Told you about these whites and creams, you see one, and right away another two come behind. I think this will be seen a lot, I love the subtle pink centre.
