This photograph shows how rampant Magenta Magenta has grown, and in this colour range it's as good as any garden dahlia you could wish for. I take three bucket full of flowers of the front garden every second day, and most of these varieties have been flowering since the first week in July.

Another example of how you can be tricked in thinking a variety is a of a certain height is by a  seedling that flowers late. Mr. Kipling, the variety that's planted under the front wall, flowered at fifteen inches, and now with a full flush of bi-coloured flowers comes in at three foot six.
