FRONT GARDEN 2009

First Impression everything's dandy, but a closer look reveals someone's struggling in the raised beds. I swear last year the variety I've finally called Magenta Magenta (so good I named it twice) was exactly the same height as Mayan Art. Now with extra nourishment and more room to grow, it has out stripped it's shorter neighbour, and is threatening to engulf it. Nothing I can do, but a warning not to plant up beds without trailing every new variety.

This shot shows how lucky I was with the other two untrialed varieties, Francisco of Spain purple, and Valerie McDonald red, the other variety is that good ol' stand by, Spanish Conquest.
