Fontmel Studio's stand in the floral tent at Shepton Mallet 2005.

I thought for a first year back to exhibiting at a show ground, this was a gallant effort, in fact, it was probably one of the best dahlia stand at this show, it certainly attracted a lot of attention. I was quite impressed with the large basket of seedlings that the bee's had produced on Bob's nursery, with the aid of a skilful operator and some very good varieties that were growing there. Photo. On the strength of it, as I'd been busy with Shepton Mallet National my flowers had got a bit in front of me, so rather than cut and dump a number of miniature decorative and ball  varieties, I plucked them and encouraged the bees and butterflies to work for me too, don't worry it was only an experiment, I shall not abandon my hand pollinating.
